Turbo C 64-bit download - X 64-bit Download - x64-bit download - freeware, shareware and software downloads. Would you like to receive notifications about Turbo C updates by email? Initially released as an MS-DOS compiler, 3.0 supported C templates, Borland's inline assembler, and generation of MS-DOS mode executables for both. Turbo C being an outdated compiler works neither on Windows XP 64-bit edition nor on Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1. But a simulator has been developed to make it work on these operating systems. The simulator works in the background and provides a platform to run the compiler.
Computer Programming/Java Programming/C Programming
16 bit compilers compile the program into 16-bit machine codethat will run on a computer with a 16-bit processor. 16-bit machinecode will run on a 32-bit processor, but 32-bit machine code willnot run on a 16-bit processor. 32-bit machine code is usuallyfaster than 16-bit machine code.

Note
With 16 bit compiler the type-sizes (in bits) are the following:short, int: 16
long: 32
long long: (no such type)
pointer: 16/32 (but even 32 means only 1MB address-space on8086)
With 32 bit compiler the object-sizes (in bits) are thefollowing:
short: 16
int, long: 32
long long: 64
pointer: 32
With 64 bit compiler the object-sizes (in bits) are thefollowing:
short: 16
int: 32
long: 32 or 64 (!)
long long: 64
pointer: 64
[While the above values are generally correct, they may vary forspecific Operating Systems. Please check your compiler'sdocumentation for the default sizes of standard types]
Note: C language itself doesn't say anything about '16 bitcompilers' and '32 bit compilers'

What is the difference between program counter in 8085 instruction pointer in 8086?
Terms 'Program Counter' and 'Instruction Pointer' are synonyms; the difference between these processors is that 8085 has a single 16-bit address space, while 8086 has a 20-bit address space, and addresses are composed from two 16 bit registers (segment and offset; for instructions they are CS and IP). What is the difference between microprocessors 8086 and 8088?
The difference between the 8086 and the 8088 is that the 8086 has a 16 bit data bus and that the 8088 has an 8 bit data bus. Both processors are the same 16 bit processor, and both have a 20 bit address bus. The 8086 is twice as fast as the 8088 in terms of data transfer rate on the bus for the same bus clock speed. What is the differences between an 8 bit and 16 bit microcontroller?

Difference between 8086 and 80386?
There are several differences between the 8086 and the 80386. Two notable differences: 1.) the 8086 is a 16 bit computer, while the 80386 is a 32 bit computer, and 2.) the 8086 does not support virtual addressing while the 80386 does. 8086 is 8 bit processor and 80386 is 16 bit processor Read More
Main difference between 8085 and 8086?
The most significant difference between the Intel 8085 and 8086 microprocessors is that the 8085 is an 8-bit system and the 8086 is a 16-bit system. This difference allows the 8086 system to have a much larger set of operational instructions and can make calculations to more significant places. Note: the 8085 processor does have two 16-bit registers. The pointer and the program counter. Read More

What is the difference between 8 bit 16 bit and 32 bit processor?
The internal parts like registers and ALU use data in 8-bits in a 8 nit processor and so in a 16 bit and 32 bit processor the use 32 bit data.....the BUS which carries data from one part of a proceesor to another has 8-lines in a 8 bit processor,16 lines in a 16 bit and 32lines ina 32 bit one.....because all these bits have to be transmitted simultaneously. Which model is used in c language?

What is the difference between the 386DX and the 386SX?
The main difference between the two is that the 386SX had a 16-bit data bus, while the 386DX had a full 32-bit data bus. This meant that it took twice as many cycles to transfer data across the bus, and limited the 386SX to a maximum of 16 MB of RAM, although it could still technically page up to 4 GB. Read More

What is the difference between 16 bit compilers and 32 bit compilers in C plus plus?
The difference is in the underlying architecture. A 16-bit system is only capable of processing 16-bit data, thus machine code programs must be compiled or assembled specifically to cater for this, using a 16-bit compiler, which is itself compiled (or assembled) as a 16-bit machine code program. 16-bit systems can still handle 32-bit data (and beyond) of course, but the data must be processed 16-bits at a time, which requires more than one CPU cycle… Read More

What is Size of int variable in c?
The size of an int variable in c is a function of the compiler implementation. It is usually a word in the underlying computer architecture. Original Microsoft C/C++ compilers for the 16 bit platform defined an int as 2 bytes. Current compilers for the 32 bit platform define an int as 4 bytes. The current ANSI C standard provides that an int is at least 4 bytes, but it could be higher, say 8 bytes… Read More

What is the difference between an 8-bit and a 16-bit sound card?
Quality is the difference. When playing sound with 8-bit sample resolution, we have the sound wave encoded with 256 levels what is not very accurate. Analog circuits placed after digital to analog converter (DAC) can smooth the wave, but it also looses some details. When 16-bit samples are used, the sound is encoded with 65536 levels. This allows to record and play music with greater accuracy. It souns then much better. Read More
